Quick Q&A with Kimber
Q: What inspired The Unseen Thread?
A: Honestly? It was already whispering to me while I was still editing Book 1. I kept thinking about the things we almost see—the gut feelings, the dreams, the quiet moments that change everything. Haylee’s story wasn’t finished yet, and neither was mine.
Q: Favorite writing snack?
A: Herbal Tea (always), Popcorn (always) and dark chocolate (sometimes), if I’m deep into edits and forget what time it is.
Q: One magical moment from the road?
A: There was a sunrise in the desert once where everything—light, stillness, color—lined up perfectly. Gizmo was snoozing, Nibbler was staring out the window like she knew something I didn’t, the other cats were sleeping on the bed and for a second I felt completely in sync with the road.
Q: Any writing rituals?
A: I like to light a candle and a little incense, play instrumental music, and have something cozy nearby—usually Gizmo. It helps me tune in, especially when a scene needs heart.
Q: What would you tell your past self before hitting the road?
A: You’re not running away—you’re returning to yourself. Trust the road. It has more answers than you think.
